Our favorite fall recipe

Happy Wednesday, Reader!

There are some recipes you make once.

And then there are the recipes that somehow become part of your family.

The ones your children recognize the moment they smell them baking.

For our family, this chocolate chip pumpkin bread is one of those recipes.

I’ve made it on chilly afternoons when everyone needed something warm and cozy.

And I’ve made extra loaves to tuck into the freezer so we could enjoy that same homemade goodness weeks later.

There’s something I love about having a recipe like this in my back pocket.

It doesn’t require anything fancy.

You can mix up a batch on an ordinary day and suddenly that ordinary day feels a little more special.

And, of course, the chocolate chips make it even better.

If you’re looking for an easy recipe to make with your family this season, I’d love for you to try our favorite chocolate chip pumpkin bread.

Maybe it will become one of those recipes your family asks for year after year, too.

With love,

Micah

There’s something a little special about creating something with another mom in mind. Lately, I’ve been spending quite a bit of time designing printable books, planners, journals, and activities that I hope will make your days a little easier. And as I worked on them, I kept thinking about you. Because I know what it’s like to have a dozen things on your mind before breakfast. Sometimes we don’t need another complicated system. We just need something beautiful and simple that helps us take...

Happy Wednesday, Reader! I realized something about cleaning… It wasn’t the actual cleaning that felt overwhelming. It was the never-ending feeling of it. The dishes would be done… until the next meal. The laundry would be folded… until someone needed their favorite shirt. The counters would be wiped down… until five little hands came through again. And somewhere along the way, cleaning started to feel less like caring for my home and more like a reminder of everything I hadn’t finished yet....

Happy Wednesday, Reader! There are seasons of motherhood when our days feel like they disappear before we even have a chance to catch our breath. The laundry piles up. The dishes multiply. The questions from little voices never seem to end. And somewhere between making lunches, answering emails, breaking up sibling arguments, and trying to keep everyone else’s needs met, we sometimes forget that our own souls need tending, too. I remember moments when I wanted to spend more time in the...
