When you need a reason to laugh today

Happy Wednesday, Reader!

A few years ago, I remember sitting at my kitchen table surrounded by books, papers, half-finished snacks, and the beautiful chaos that comes with raising children.

I had a list of things I needed to get done.

The laundry was waiting.
The dishes were multiplying.
Someone needed help with an assignment.
Someone else was asking for a snack… again.

And somewhere between trying to teach, clean, nurture, and keep everyone moving forward, I realized something:

I was taking everything so seriously.

Not because I didn’t love my family.

Not because I wasn’t grateful for the opportunity to teach my children.

But because motherhood has a way of making us feel like we’re carrying the weight of the whole world on our shoulders.

Especially homeschooling.

There are days when you feel like you’re doing amazing.

And then there are days when you question if anyone learned anything besides how to interrupt you 47 times before lunch. 😉

Those moments don’t mean you’re failing.

They mean you’re human.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is step back, take a deep breath, and laugh at the wonderfully imperfect adventure we’re living.

Because someday, these messy moments will become the memories we treasure most.

So today, I wanted to give you a little gift: a chance to laugh, feel seen, and remember that you’re not alone in the beautiful chaos of homeschooling.

I gathered some of the funniest homeschool memes that perfectly capture those everyday moments we all experience.

Grab a cup of something warm (or cold, depending on your weather), take a few minutes for yourself, and enjoy a little laughter:

You’re doing better than you think, mama.

And sometimes, a good laugh is exactly what we need to keep going.

With love,

Micah

Happy Wednesday, Reader! A few summers ago, I learned something important: Sometimes the smallest things can bring the biggest smiles. It wasn’t a big vacation. It wasn’t an expensive outing. It was something much simpler. It was a soda. The kind where the kids are laughing around the counter and everyone is debating the perfect combination of flavors. The moments where a simple drink becomes a memory. Maybe that’s why dirty sodas have become such a beloved tradition for so many people....

Happy Wednesday, Reader! A few years ago, I remember sitting at my kitchen table surrounded by papers, lesson plans, and a growing pile of things I hadn’t finished. My heart was full because I loved my children. I loved the idea of creating meaningful learning moments with them. But if I’m honest, I also felt tired. There is a quiet pressure that many moms carry. The feeling that we should be doing more, creating more, teaching more, and somehow making every day magical. But here’s what I’ve...

Happy Wednesday, Reader! The other morning, I found myself standing in the middle of our homeschool room surrounded by stacks of books, fresh pencils, drywall, and curriculum I was excited (and maybe a little nervous) to begin. There is something beautiful about a new homeschool year. The blank pages. The fresh starts. The excitement of watching our children learn something new. But if I'm honest, a new year also brings a lot of questions. Will I be patient enough? Will I teach them what they...
