Halloween Just Got Fun

Happy Saturday, Reader!

There’s something about Halloween with kids that makes the ordinary feel a little more magical.

The excitement starts days (or maybe weeks!) before Halloween.

The costumes come out.

Pumpkins begin appearing on the porch.

Someone inevitably starts asking how many days are left.

And in the middle of all the candy, costumes, parties, and excitement, I love finding little ways to slow down and enjoy the season together.

Sometimes that looks like sitting at the kitchen table with a warm drink while the kids color.

Sometimes it’s watching them carefully choose just the right color for a pumpkin or laughing when they decide their ghost absolutely needs to be purple.

Those simple moments become the memories we carry with us.

So if you’re looking for something fun to keep little hands busy this Halloween, I put together some free Halloween Color by Number Pages for Kids!

Your kids can practice number recognition and following directions while bringing each spooky picture to life with colorful crayons or colored pencils.

It’s an easy activity to print and enjoy whenever you need a few quiet minutes, a screen-free activity, or just something fun to add to your Halloween week.

Because sometimes the sweetest childhood memories are made around a table with a handful of crayons.

Happy Saturday, Reader! You know that thought you had during your scripture study? The one you meant to write down? And then someone called your name. The laundry needed switching. Dinner needed making. And five minutes later, the thought was gone. I've done this more times than I can count. Sometimes I want to remember a verse. Sometimes I need to work through a prayer. Sometimes I just have a lot going on inside my head and need somewhere to put it. That's exactly why I created Be Still....

Happy Saturday, Reader! There are days when your mind feels full before your feet even hit the floor. The list is already growing. The dishes need attention. Someone needs you. And somewhere in the middle of caring for everyone else, you realize you haven't given yourself much room to simply be. Not productive. Not needed. Just still. I've found that sometimes, I don't need another complicated routine. I just need a place to sit with my thoughts. A place to write down the Scripture that keeps...

Happy Saturday, Reader! I remember how seriously children take Halloween. A costume isn’t just a costume. For a little while, you really are the princess, the superhero, the dinosaur, or the dragon. And every shadow seems a little darker when you’re wearing a costume and carrying a bucket full of candy. But Halloween also gives us a beautiful opportunity to talk with children about the things that really scare them. What do we do when we’re afraid? Where do we turn when we’re tempted? How do...
